Addiction

When you think of addiction, whats the first thing that comes to your mind?

Drugs? Gambling? Smoking? Alcohol?

The majority of the connotations associated with the word addiction are negative.

But what about being addicted to success? Some people in this world are addicted to it! So not everything connected to the word ‘addiction’ has to have a negative connotation.

When we think about our biggest goals and dreams, we tend to think BIG!

But what we tend to focus on more so are the negatives we see and encounter on a day to day basis, because our goals and dreams we don’t see daily…yet!

The truth is, when we talk about addiction, the negative person thinks about the negative connotations – so they’re addicted to finding the negative.

That to me just doesn’t make sense.

Anything you want to achieve can be achieved – but only by those addicted to achieving them.

A negative is a negative. A positive is a positive. Success is success. Addiction is addiction.

Whatever you’re addicted to, positive or negative is what will transpire.

Look at the elite in any industry;

  • Connor McGregor
  • Cristiano Ronaldo
  • Bill Gates
  • Warren Buffet
  • Steve Jobs
  • Jay Z
  • DJ Khalid
  • Oprah
  • Beyonce

They are addicted to achieving success and committed to the process of achieving their goals – which is why they have what they have and are able to do what they do.

As human beings, we are addicted to something.

So challenge yourself, challenge yourself to be addicted to the positives and to achieving your goals, not to the negatives we inevitably encounter on a daily basis.

It’s a choice.

Right vs Easy.

‘The right choice is the harder one now, but becomes the easier one in the future.”
